I purchased an 07 SR5 in natural white. After I got over all the excitement of the purchase, days later, I started to look much closer at the paint. It seemed dull in several areas. I eventually took it into a detail shop where the guy mentioned it was common for Toyotas of this color and age to have dulling. I thought it could be paint oxidation but I could have been wrong on that thought. Anyway a nice clay baring, buff and wax helped but a couple months later, it just seemed dull again. Soooooo, I guess I'm wondering if I'm falling victim to failure of the clear coat as well? I dunno....

As I recall, natural white is single stage paint. No clear coat.

I use a polish called TR-3 on my older cars and it works miracles! It won't fix peeling paint, but I'm sure it will fix oxidation hazing. It does on my cars, and I mainly use it to polish out my massive desert pin striping. You're welcome to come by and check it out. I'll be washing, claybaring, polishing, and waxing my truck this Sat. Mines suffering the same symptoms. All 4 fender flares are starting to lose luster, mostly on the driver side. They aren't cracked or peeling (yet), but definitely could use some help.

ive brought back about 3 different toyotas that were white because its a single stage. I just wish i got white because its forever correctable.
