Clear corners/bumpers?

Ok so I'm looking at bulbs for the corners and bumpers. Going off of this website: http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/AutomotiveLighting/LampReplacementGuide/AutoLRG-Results.htm

Does "Front Turn Signal" mean the bumper bulb?
So I would need to look for a 7440 for my bumpers?

Or does anyone know off the top of their head what kind of bulbs you need for corners/bumpers on a '99? I'm not good with any of this stuff and it's already making my head hurt :bash: I just want to know which bulbs I need to get for my bumpers/corners so that when I install clear lenses I'll have the nice clear looking effect that all of you guys have.

sigh those 194 chrome bulbs are gonna be really dim and weak reason why i went with some amber led's

Ahh. Well whatever, they were only $5 so if they're too dim it's not too much of a loss.

Can you help me out with something?

Going off of this website as a reference:

For a '99, which bulb would I need for the corners/bumpers? I'm not sure where the corners/bumpers are on that list.

according to that the front bumper light use's a 7440 and the corner will use a 194 bulb

Ok that's what I thought I just wasn't sure. But you think the 194 will be too dim for the corner? Or is that not true if I go with an LED?

the reason i went with the 7440 style for the corners is i had a pair of 7440 bulbs and sockets laying around ... the white led's tend to be a little on the blue side

I just ordered mine today. ended up paying 100 for bumper and corner lenses. or about $80US. can't wait to get them, now I wanna figure out which LED's to get. I want white or amber, but no clue what number they are

a lot of things I do are illegal, but nothing crazy. I've seen quite a few with white turn signals, not sure if it is legal or not though.Still want the amber LED's

Time for me to chime in...

I also bought the clear bumper/ corner kit for my 1999 from Neondials on eBay. The total was $39.99. I wish I had read this thread first.

I replaced the bumper lights very quickly and easily. Neondials kit does not come with bulbs for the bumpers so I put the stock white ones in and will get chrome-coated ambers later.

When I took the stock corners out, I found that the plastic housing part of the new bulb did not exactly match the housing of the stock bulb. Thus I cannot use the amber bulbs that came with the kit. I have been talking to Neondials about this.

I am wondering:
Can I remove the glass part of the bulb from its plastic housing?

If I could do this, I could use the amber bulb in the stock bulb housing.

I'm not totally sure I understand your question but I will try to help. If you are asking whether or not you can remove the bulb from the bulb holder yes you can. You can also swap your OEM and new bulb holders. I had to use my OEM bulb holders in the clear corners because Toyota changed the connector slightly in my 2002. Did the corners fit O.K.? Ask more questions if you have them...pictures are always helpful.
Haha, I left neondials neutral feedback cause the corners barely fit at all and it turned into a multi-email argument and the neondials guy didnt understand a single thing I was talking about. He kept telling me I go the wrong set and that my 4runner was different. I told him to go find a set and measure each of the bolt down tab and tell me if they were the all the same length and he never responded back :lmao: If you all dont already know, Im kind of a egotistical ass, and Im well aware of this so no need for flamming, just in case I offend someone.
