Cleghorn Trail 2/11

Anyone up for it? It's basically a fire road with a few offshoots here and there. 2wd is fine, but bring some recovery gear just in case. It's going to be cloudy and cool, so dress appropriately. As always- bring food and water for your rig. I figure we could meet at the trailhead off the freeway around 7:30 and head up the trail at 8. So, who's in?

Seems like a lot of fun! I would be up for it, but we need to lock in the time and date in advance because it will be a pretty good drive out there for me.

I drive by there when my kids and I go to Hodge Road to shoot. How much time to budget for this from start to finish?

I'd say around 4-5 hours, and that's making a ton of stops along the way. You can turn around and run the trail backwards towards the 15, or just take 138 back to I-15. It's a scenic run, with a ton of photo ops, so I imagine we'll be stopping a few times.

Exactly. Cleg is just a fire road with offshoots here and there.

The trail is best a little earlier in the morning, before it gets dry and dusty. If we all meet up around 7-7:30, and head up the trail at 8, we should be golden.

I've done the trail twice, once in my 4runner and once in my wifes highlander. Like said it is a basic fireroad with alot of harder off shots that may surprise you:lmao: on the difficulty like I was. If you stick go the main route you will be fine, it is not marked so it is possible to confuse the routes. Have a great time and be safe!!!!

Thanks for the link, should i be concerned that i don't have a l lift or rock sliders? I don't want to end up with body damage like the FJ cruiser :/.

I'm bone stock, running 265s. So I might try some of the offshoots, because some of them aren't that difficult.
