Clickin' & Clackin' Driver's Seat..?

Seems whenever i take any turn that moves my body to-and-fro, my driver's seat makes a "click" sound (i can feel it in my back as well) as if the seat-back is loose from the base, or something of that matter.

Anyone heard of this, or know of a potential fix? Is there a way of "Tightening" the seat somehow?

Quite common in the 4th Gen, no real fixes have been successful. There are numerous threads if searched for.

When mine starts making this noise I grease the track and slides. I also grease under the mount bolts on the floor. I unbolted the seat recently and looked real close at the frame. I did not find any cracks. I have to do this several times a year. The seat can be lubed without removing it. Move it all the way to the front and rear when lubing to get all the areas easier.

mine does this too.

i took it to the dealership many times but they said there's no fix. it drove me crazy for many years. now i just accept it....

Thanks guys. I wasnt sure if this was common or just me.

And ive said it once and ill say it again. Ive used the search feature above, and the odds of it producing anything has always been slim.

complaining about someone else not searching = bragging that they know the answer but are too lazy to help you find it

both sides happen to all of us....

i think that in heaven, no one will complain about searching.

Hmmm....i wonder if the exnteded platinum warrantee will cover this...

If the frame is in fact broken or cracked it will cover it, when I took mine in for this issue, the guy said it would be $400 if the frame wasn't damaged, just to take the seat apart so I told him never mind. :wow:

I wish I would have had them take it apart, cuz the frame was definitely snapped

I never complained. I was using tapatalk, just like most other times when I'm on here. I answered the question and know there are more threads on here about it but can't do a thorough search from a cell phone like you can on a PC. Sometimes moving the seat through all positions will get it to stop for a while, but not a fix. Even frame replacements have not been successful in stopping it.
