I have a 2005 4runner sport.

Just got all new brakes.

When im in reverse i hear a clicking noise.

Guy who did the breaks is saying its the Axle and needs to be replaced

I have 108,000 miles on the truck.

anybody? advise? I'm going to take it to another shop for a second opinion.

A consistent clicking? Or just a click when you touch the brakes in reverse?

Its like a "pop" its constant when reverse.. and seems louder when I'm turning and in reverse.
will have to try it later in the alley with my foot off the brakes.

Mine pops when in reverse but only when i touch the brake. For mine its a clip thats loose that is allowing the brake pad to move within the caliper. If its constant then i am not sure and hopefully someone else on here will know more. :/
