Clock spring Clicking

Are there any tricks to silence a clicking Clock Spring. Ive been hearing a iritating clicking from the steering wheel, so pulled my airbag off to see what was causing the problem. Clock spring is lose and making the sound. No airbag light and cruise and audio controls work but the sound and feel is driving me crazy.

Is it the OEM clock spring, or a replacement?

I installed an ebay version and it makes a little noise, but it's tolerable.

OEM, never been replaced. It's a 2004 with 115k On it. I'm not sure how it's suppose to be when functioning correctly but it's seems oddly loose around the shaft. Only took off the airbag, have proceeded any further. looking for any advise before pulling more stuff apart.
