closed hatch while battery disconnected

hey guys,

putting some mods in right now. I had the battery disconnected and I accidentally closed the rear hatch while it was disconnected. I remember reading somewhere that this causes problems and as soon as I did it i knew i screwed up.

anyways, what do I do to get it open and functioning? it closed but the electric motors didnt secure it, i reconnected the battery and tried to open it but no dice.

hoping for quick response, hope it's simple....

Not sure if it'll fix it, but if you can get the door cover off there is a mechanical release in the bottom of the hatch. That should get it opened.

I don't know the thread name but if you search there are threads that describe and maybe have pics of the exact location of the release. There is a white plastic cover over the release but it just pops off.
