Back here by the air tank where the spare tire was, between the snorkel and the turbocharger.

i would really like to know how you did all this. if you have a link I could read to learn how to do this what all I would need that would be great,

I'm very interested in this same type of project. I have the same motor, and just would really like to know the ends and outs if you ever get some time to explain or point me in the way I need to go.

I'm all snorkeled up now. Ran out of neoprene hose and had to finish the snorkel to filter bit with some flex aluminum.

Old filter compared to the new one.

Just read through your whole build thread today... I need to update my thread. I replaced the antenna and removed the running boards on mine

Just the opposite actually. Driving around town it's the same if not slightly better not sucking up hot air off the pavement, but out on the highway it's very noticable, with just a toe tap it's intantly at 7psi now. Also it does the job of keeping water and mud out of my turbo which was the main concern.

yeah, what's happening? Turbo, then paddle shifter, then snorkel......then all quiet. Are you on an expedition or street racing unsuspecting cars?

Getting closer to rounding up all the stuff I need to turbo the 4runner. Have most of the exhaust done just need to fit it and hang it.

Does the exhaust going through the turbo quiet it down any? Do you still need exhaust after it is what I'm trying to say, can the engine be damaged if you straight pipe it after the turbo?

No, the turbo will quiet it down plenty. I will run exhaust pipe out the back where it was though.

Sorry if this has been addressed already but sense you got a turbo do you use premium gasoline?
