Clownmeat's build thread

What's up CM,

I would look towards option 3 or 4, strictly from a perspective of design and placement. Both are similar to other like-kind snorkles already on the market.

IMO, option 4 is the most direct route from where the exhaust currently exists the undercarriage. Further to answer your concerns for resale, it would be most familar to buyers as opposed to option 3 which cuts through the body enroute to the roof.

Either way, unless you get creative which would more than likely involve cutting into the body. I see the above mention options as the most direct solution to water, snow and slush this winter.

Hope this helps, good luck with your choice.

Regards.......8sm

Thanks for the input!

Most likely it will look like the 4th one, in my mind it makes the most sence but my mind can be like  :beer:

I am really digging your turbo. So cool!

I'd go with #4 and keep it simple and inexpensive. I know you're going to build a custom rear bumper that you'll most likely end up tying the snorkel into at some point in the future.

Keep up the good and clean work. :hatsoff:

Thanks, I'm loving the turbocharger, just so much more fun to drive now that it has some balls.

The plan. Using oval tubing it will go out the driver side up the back to the roof. Then I will have the bodyshop mix up some desert dune metallic so I can paint it to match the truck.

I like the last option for the intake the best. But i would also take into consideration which one is going to have a mean free path straight into the system to give you the most punch. More molecular flow the better imo.

Since the turbo replaced the pistons job of sucking air in, it shouldn't pose a performance problem as long as I use tube that will flow enough cfm.

I'm a big fan.....Bravo !

Respectfully, 8sm

Thanks.

To many video games and beer lately, and with the holidays coming up progress might be slow. Really want to get the intake up high soon though just in case we do get some good thick snow up on the mountain.

runner sounds awesome. intake in the cab be sweet lol.

not sure on the 3.4 TRD supercharger but on the newer TRD 4.0 supercharger it comes with larger injectors and a ecu reflash

Was just seeing how much boost it would make without rolling and how it would launch in 4 wheel drive if it wasn't just spinning one tire.

Going to try and make my auto trans manually shifted, sick of the kickdown/passing gear crap when I need the throttle body open at low rpm.

Yeah, that site has a lot of good info. I might try to fab somthing up in the near future. Paddle shift would be fun.
