I ran a dual friction ceramic clutch for a while in my crawler. Hated it. Stiffest piece of nonsense ever.

Unless you are hardcore rock crawling or racing the thing, you don't need a fancy clutch. A stock Aisin clutch works perfect. I run a stock 3.0 clutch in my crawler now, and couldn't be happier. It has a 3.4 swap, R151F, and dual cases. Works great!

You dont want a ceramic clutch in anything that youll need to slip the clutch. Ceramics are either engaged or not.

I'm currently running a valeo clutch. I have abused it for over 50k miles now and it hasn't given me any issues. Just make sure to have your flywheel machined while you have it out.

well the marlin 1,200lb clutch doesnt seem to be that bad.. its only 33% higher load rating than a stock one.. my issue is driving around on the street, my g/f house in on an incline and has one of ditch things.. my 4runner also has a full exo cage.. its pretty heavy... it wouldnt grab and just revved up and i smelled burnt clutch. Offroad doesnt matter cuz i have dual cases.. just driving around on the street.. its only 219 from marlin.

i just wanted to know who has ran a marlin clutch, but i guessing no one, so ill be the first to test it out.. :third:

You will not be disappointed with the marlin clutch! Been running one in my pile for about 2 years, towed my dads 16ft boat numerous times with it and go rock crawling often. Defiantly money well spent! Just make sure u get the 1200 hd clutch, non-ceramic. Btw my pile is a 2nd gen 4cyl.
