The housing market around Fort Collins is crazy, so good luck. Get ready for bidding wars and paying way more than asking price. My house has increased in value about 50% since I bought it 3 years ago.

Actually, we need more off-roaders moving in, to balance out the growing sentiment that all trails should be closed to protect the spotted darter snail or some such nonsense.

OP, when the wife becomes less pregnant and the toddlers have grown a little, keep the San Juan range in SW Colorado on your radar (Ouray and Silverton area). Great weekend trip from Fort Collins, and a smorgasbord of trails and great scenery.

For maintenance, while not if your area, Slee Offroad as mentioned earlier is a great choice. Christo Slee is an icon in the Land Cruiser crowd.

Welcome to the West, you certainly upgraded.

I think I'd enjoy living in Ft Collins, especially if they could figure out a way to get all those idiot farm boys(both CO and WY) to stop rolling coal down College. Housing market is insane though throughout the whole state. House across the street from me just sold for ~$600k and my little 1500sqft rental was estimated at $450k. Can't wait for things to become sane again so I can actually buy.
 
I get up to foco roughly once a month to see the folks. I will keep an eye open for you guys. I have definitely seen some nicely modded 4runners in foco.
 
I'll be moving to Grand Junction September 1st after we close on the house here in Missouri. Can't wait to get out west and call Colorado home!
 
Has anyone been able to look at the trail damage website lately? I've checked on multiple devices and web browsers with no luck.

I was on extensively last night and this morning planning a late season trip, plus checked just now. no issues
 
Reviving an old thread with a couple questions for all that gave me input before.

I have a light bar, some light pods, and switches that need installed. I'm not confident any of the shops in Ft Collins can install them without issues arising afterwards. I've narrowed my search for install work, at a shop, down to RSG and Toy Crawlers, and have heard great things from numerous people about both places.

Have any of you dealt with either place? If so, any feedback good or bad? If you have a light bar, how long should a quality instal take? I've been told anywhere from 3-5 hours for a light bar, pods, and switches.

Also, I really appreciate the people who offered to help do various installs previously. If you're confident you can help me do a quality instal with this stuff, let me know. I'd love to go that route for multiple reasons and I can pay in $$$, beer, strippers, midgets, or whatever you fancy.

Since you are in NOCO, give L1 Automotive a look as they are located in Loveland. They specialize in Toyota and priced fairly. They did my suspension and UCA's on a 2016 TEP and spent extra time to make sure it was done right. It was also cool to see the number of old LandCruiser restorations in their yard as I watched them work on my truck. I do not work for them, just a fan.
