I just barely got the 7M running, it only has 20 miles on it, but feels powerful so far. The manual transmission and lightweight flywheel make the car feel peppy and controllable. I will be comparing it to the 2JZ-GTE in the 94 Supra I've been driving. After the break in process, an intercooler and a boost controller are the last steps to 450hp.
The 94 has an excellent motor, but its mounted to a parasite of a trans. Shifts are slow and the the long gears make the car feel sluggish below boost. A manual swap on the 94 Supra needs to happen, with a lightweight flywheel of course. The 2JZ-GTE is a monster, I'm only a boost cut controller and a boost controller away from 450hp.
Stainless brake lines installed. A bit harder to route them with the new calipers. Suspension techniques front sway bar also installed.
Brembo 4-piston calipers along with 13" blank rotors
First time on the ground with new suspension parts. Height is perfect! Installed rear trunk struts from the parts Supra I had, they work rather well for being 20+ year old units.
Snuck it out of the garage on its own power. I've owned this car for almost two years and this is quite literally the first time I have ever driven it. The car had just enough clearance underneath my off-road trailer.
And off I went, the first drive in a MKIII Supra since my family had one in 2004. Video of this moment will be posted next time.
Here it is in the daylight, from the same angle, three times. Also installed the Flex-a-lite fan controller to control the dual 220 fans.
This one is a still from the video, will post that once its all done being edited.
First full tank of gasoline!
