My mechanic and I did a little experiment, he advanced the timing and it ran like I would expect it to! WAY more power.

CEL was still on and we are going to get another new pigtail and try mounting the KS to the top of the motor.

I don't want to get into replacing the wiring to the ECU.

This is really a hunting truck that will see very little on road use.
So, if I can't get the CEL to go off but it runs great with advanced timing so be it.

I took my truck out over the weekend with the timing advanced.
Ran GREAT, WAY more power.
Climbed some steep stuff, amazing difference.

The truck is not "fast" on the freeway but it rocks off road.
