That law seems a bit ridiculous. I'd be curious to know if anyone's actually ever been busted for that.
Also, for weather reports that will actually be accurate, check out www.opensnow.com
They just started up last year and only do winter forecasts- I just got my first email of the season from Joel. He definitely knows his stuff.

I wasn't even aware of it until this guy was out yesterday repairing our roof. He was shooting the shit with me (he was born and raised in Castle Rock, so it was an enlightening conversation) and mentioned it and said he's seen cops writing them before. I thought it was odd, and that's one of the features on the Limited my wife was looking forward to.

I just checked the exemptions, which I didnt see before. Looks like for temps 20F and under you are allowed to idle and warm the vehicle. I guess I assumed people typically only idle in cold weather. This law seems more targeted to people leaving their vehicles on unnecessarily in warm temps...

Ahh, okay that makes more sense. I'll need to find that. The doc that came up when I searched didn't list any exemptions but I didn't dig too much.

Giron and Morse were recalled last night for shoving Bloomberg's legislation down Coloradan's throats.
Maybe there's still hope.
Better yet it wasn't a "Republican" effort, Democrats in CO also are very concerned about their gun rights. Hickenlooper was conspicuously absent from TV last night.

What's the flooding like?! I just talked to my dad and he said there was about 7" of rain apparently and multiple people have died. Our house is in the mountains, and I guess they are closing down the canyon to Boulder. Apparently Jamestown was having Blackhawk helicopters evacuating people because there was a 15' high flash flood and a house collapsed. He said it's supposed to be a 100+ year flood and a lot of highways are being shut down or are totally flooded. A guy from work I know in Boulder had his basement flood, and I guess some earthen dams were failing.
I'm in Utah at school but wish I was there, it sounds insane. Someone post pictures or something!

It's not bad in our area but it looks like Boulder and parts of Denver are getting hammered. I'm sure other areas are as well. Dry state my arse...

My wife and I spent today keeping ahead of the water coming in our basement. After seeing our local numbers I'm not too unhappy about the little that's found a way in.
Rain measurements from the overnight Colorado storm that has caused flash floods and flooding according to the National Weather Service as of 2:07 p.m. Thursday include:
Aurora — 11.05 inches
Aurora — 3.80 inches (past 5 hours)
Boulder/Jamestown/Lyons have a real disaster, we're lucky not to have the quantity of creeks & rivers they have there.

The snow situation has been terrible for years... I plow, which has made for some very boring winter months lately... But I think if all this crazy rain that is tearing up the burn scars turns to snow, I for one am going to be in a hell of a lot of trouble. Mtns and reservoirs sure need it!
I have no idea but watch the allowed mileage and insurance requirements. Years ago I looked in to leasing but the limited allowed mileage and fees for going over that we're rediculous. They also required buying insurance through them which was even more outrageous. I don't know if it was the particular dealer or not but something to look at closely.

Mileage won't be a problem, but I'll check the insurance. I know they require higher levels in general. I work from home so the low mileage, low lease payments and my inclination to keep getting something new seem to be a good fit. I found a pretty good deal on a G37X that caught my eye so I decided to get some numbers together. I keep bouncing between this and getting something older. If it's based on full MSRP I probably need to consider that expense, compared to, say an older 4R.

Yes, I believe your registration fee will be the same regardless of whether or you lease or buy your vehicle.
