Our house should be done in a few months and I'm starting to compile a list of to-do's and am hoping you guys might have some referrals for local people/companies you recommend. Here's what I'm looking for so far:
Painters
Window Well Covers
Pest Control
Landscaping (Fence, expand existing irrigation, sod, rock, trees/shrubs, etc)
Radon Mitigation
Residential Glass (shower)
Carpenter for built-ins
Alarm Monitoring (have SafeSystems and am not impressed)

Yeah, we just put a ton of work into our old place about a year ago and sold it. I'm all too familiar, but at least this time I'll get to enjoy the results.
We were originally looking at the Meadows area but it's too busy for our taste. We ended up a couple of exits south, in the Plum Creek area.

I have started to use my garage as a walk in fridge for all of my beers and cokes and energy drinks.
It hasn't gone above 40 degrees in my garage (the cars and 4Runner live outside) and the past few days it's just above freezing.
Don't know what I'll do come summertime.

Ya we stayed at the hut for 3 days, it was pretty sunbaked but definitely nice to be back there. Highly recommended for you and 7 of your closest friends. Pretty cheap too. Think the yurt itself for the weekend was around $50 each. It sits on 35 acres of gladed terrain about 1/4 mile from treeline, about 11,400ft.
Its been dumping since yesterday afternoon, and they're reporting 6-10". Some estimates put the totals up to 25" before the weekend, that sounds a tad optimistic but we will see.
I took the photo below on the last day. After 2 weeks of sunshine, the crystals were about 1.5 inches long. really cool fields of surface hoar, but ridiculously dangerously deadly now with the new snow on top. I took a screenshot of the Avy report, but if any of you guys are headed out this weekend, be super careful even in-bounds(several people this season have been caught in human triggered slides within resort boundaries), and don't even think about heading for the BC gates. We already lost 6 people in avalanches this year, and one hit way too close to home. Be safe and make good decisions!
