Colorado BS thread

not to revive a dead thread but I was curious about storm mountain since I've never heard of it and came across this thread:

maybe its useful for 1blink

Sweet, thanks. All my trips to the cabin thus far have been in the Audi, so I haven't been able to explore the national forest areas at all yet. That video was the first peek at trails that I've gotten. I guess we know what I'll be doing this winter!

Anyone up for Medano Pass next weekend, pending it's still open.

Looking at possible going down next weekend and doing so camping and hiking (Medano Lake) weather pending.

So the girlfriends birthday is a few days before thanksgiving, and she has expressed interest recently in hot springs. Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask as I'm researching around, I'm looking for a more secluded and not main stream one as like Ouray or Glenwood where there won't be tons of people. I'm thinking we'll just road trip over there in the runner and stay in a hotel for two nights. Any thoughts? We'll be in Boulder, but driving distance doesn't really matter.

There's a nudie colony/hot springs down on the Orient Land Trust in the southern part of the state. My friend's gal failed to mention that part when she drug him down there.

I know we're way past your girlfriends birthday, but in case you are still looking for a nice hot-springs, Mt Princeton down by Buena Vista is one of our favorites.
Strawberry Park in Steamboat is really cool too.

Haha it's appreciated! We didn't end up going but it's still in the planning for the future :D

Good luck(honestly) finding a secluded hot spring that you can actually hop into- I know dozens of small hippy dips but every time we stop by they're full of, well, hippies.

I'm pretty sure we all look exactly like this when we hit the hot springs in the winter. Good times.

Hey, does anybody have any good experiences with 4x4 shops around the Boulder, Denver area? I'm only familiar with Johns 4x4 in Boulder and Slee in Golden..

The people at John's 4x4 have been nice the couple times I've been in there, but I didn't have any work done there. steezemcqueen RTI, Rock Toy Industries are where you want to go, even though it's a bit of a drive from here.

Do any of you have an SWR meter I can borrow to tune my Firestick antenna?
Im in downtown Denver.

I was just in FoCo for their warmest fall in a while.

Hoping it's still nice when I move back in December.

I don't feel like using my snow tires to their fullest this winter.
