Thanks at Total Automotive. Couldn't wait for the harnesses to come back in stock since we are taking a road trip in a few weeks. Wired up to the factory wiring, spliced them together using the Rigid cabling. This worked perfectly, all controlled via my factory fog switch and the lights are AMAZING. D2 driving lights in the fog location is incredible, let there be LIGHT!

D2 Driving Ambers installed yesterday, everything went smoothly, my pics suck as usual but i'll leave a few notes about the install:
- removed 2 screws from the underside of the fender liner, peeled it back and hooked it around the tie rod to keep it out of the way
- as [MENTION=105498]sovat4r[/MENTION] mentioned earlier, the passenger side has a plastic cover surrounding the fog light that needs to come off as the slots clips into are used for the tab on the bracket and covered by the plate for the mounting screws. it popped off with minimal effort
- the rigid wiring, pnp harness, and factory wiring combined make for a long chain of wiring. to keep this somewhat elevated and from jostling around too much i looped it over a metal brace along the outer side of the bumper cover (shown in pic)
- used some thick rubber gasket type stuff found at surplus store to fill in the angled gap left in front of the light (shown in pic)

...About to pull the trigger on some Rigid ambers, but having trouble deciding on D2 Driving or Dually Flood. You happy with yours (I noticed you got the D2 driving)? Any regrets (bother oncoming traffic, beam to focused, etc)? I'm leaning towards the flood, since they are supposed to act as fog lights, but interested in your feedback in the driving. I always keep my fogs on at night w/ the headlights, btw.

I could be mistaken, but I think any D2s are going to be REALLY bright for on road usage.

If you're running them at all times, you really should get the DOT model.

...or the Duallys, right? Rigid does not make an amber DOT (or I would go that route), just the D2 Driving, and the Dually Flood or Spot.

From what I understand, the Duallys produce half the lumens as the D2s (1568 vs 3096). Also the flood models have a less focused beam. Seems like this may be my best route, but I'd love anyone who has experience with any of these models to weigh in.

As you are going with Amber on the D2, youll be okay on the road because the amber is much less intense compared to the white D2s.

Go with the driving beam, its much more useable!

I bought the SAE driving light kit from TAP. I have to say this is the best money I have spent on my T4R-TEP. The Rigids have amazing light output. Puts the headlights to shame. I would recommend this kit, bought through TAP!!!

Agree the DOT fogs out put the stock lo-beams headlights. They also light up the sides of the road. We have some narrow roads and it will me help see kids or pets that dart out between cars.
For some reason if my headlights went out I could make it home on the DOT fogs, not legal but just saying thats how bright the DOTs are.
If you use fogs for night on road driving its great. Get a stealth light bar for off road.

Have the kit in my cart and ready to pull the trigger on them, but was wondering what the light dispersement was for the D-series Duallys that come with the kit? Is it a flood pattern or combo with spot???
