compass and temp on overhead console

I have a 03 4runner and a 04 Tundra. My question is did Toyota make the compass and temp. with garage door opener for the 03 4runner like I have on my 04 Tundra? This is not in the mirror. Separate system from the mirror. It is all contained with sunglass holder and map lights.:snacker:

The only 2 options I've seen for the overhead console are ones with or without controls for the sunroof, if you have one. You could probably mount one from a Tundra up there if you want to since there is nothing there but a light unless you have the sunroof controls.

The limiteds (and perhaps a few other random trims) got the 3 button garage door openers in between the map lights. The Lexus twin of ours got the same setup only they added a switch that allows you to set the map lights to turn on when the doors open like the rear dome lights.

If I were looking to gain the garage functions I'd also look into grabing up the one for the lexus (what is it the GX240 or GX470?) twin of ours It fits right in the same place as the one already installed.

You should have the outside temp read out as an option in the HVAC display. I know mine offers temp, avg. MPG's, avg. speed, and fuel range. As well my mirror has the compass in it.

Short answer is no, but take a picture of your Tundra setup for us. Maybe we can adapt it instead of replacing the mirror.

Saw that install before (I like it) but I don't think it answers the OP's question.
The way I read this, the OP was asking about a compass and temperature readout in the overhead console. Just asking for a picture to verify what he is asking.

Not all 4th Gens came with garage door opener buttons so in retrospect I can see him asking about that the way you read it.
