New member, first post !!! This site is awesome !! I have stumbled across this site , frequented this Site periodically , read threads and am impressed ! Anyway, got a 2000 4Runner sr5 , 3.4 , Auto , w/ now 220k miles . Up until last night (someone dinged my rear pass corner in parking lot) , body is in prestine condition. Rather than selling it , doing a complete rebuild ground up .
As we speak, I got 3" suspension Fox2.5 coil overs Front , Fox 2.0 w/ Resivors Rear , Front Upper Control Arms , Power Steering Bushing kit , Rear Upper Control Arms and Rear Pan Hard Bar , 1" Diff Drop and New 285 75 R16 Grabber AT2 !! Install will likely be in 2 weeks , still waiting on Fox Coilovers . Currently got Moog's Upper/Lower Ball joints and Tie Rods coming in , and Adjustable Swaybar End Links . As for Tranny and Engine Replacement or Rebuild , what are some of your recommendations and ideas ? I want this virtually Bullet proof !!
Other upgrades are 4.88 Front/Rear Gears w/ ARBS .
Thanks for any advice . Before After Pics coming soon !!

yes body protection is needed,

so on a side note. i have a place in brian head and go there quite often. more like a few times a year. it would be good to get together if / when i make a st George run.

Honestly at 220k. I'd replace the timing belt/water pump(if you don't know when it was done), spark plugs, any leaking seals, run some seafoam through her, change the oil and be done. For the tranny I'd do a filter and flush. 300k is doable easily in these trucks with proper and even sometimes half-a$$ed maintenance.

I don't think I'd be worried about doing any more than that unless you are getting low compression readings.
