Bad pic but I decided to change up the color for a little while and plastidipped the whole thing.

$400 but I bought way too much. 2 gallons would have worked which including the paint gun, tape, and etc would have been around $300.

howd it turn out in the long run?

im contemplating doing this, could you tell me how well it held up, and how difficult it was to actually spray on evenly. i want something thats gunna last at least a year.

I pressure wash under 2000 psi and If you did enough coats as long as you don't hit it at an opening (like where it separates for a door handle) you won't knock it off. Mud isn't that easy to get off bud I clear coated mine so it helps. I like it because I had pretty good paint but I wanted to see what different colors looked like so this lets me explore those options for just over $100 a color now that I own the gun and etc. I know a lot of people who run this for about a year. Also protects from light scratches if that's what you are worried about. All in all its worth it in my opinion and I get daily compliments.

I was really scared about the spray on evenly part but I guess since its a rubber and not really a paint it doesn't run as much because It went on extremely smooth, This was my first paint job of any kind so of course it wasn't perfect but you can't tell a flaw unless you really look hard, I'm sure it will look better my second time around. I know there are a lot of people in Florida that run this for about 8-12 months at a time, usually changing just to change colors but you can continue to spray on an existing coat because the more coats=more protection and it will peel off in big pieces.
