Completely New Audio Setup in progress

TeCKis300....Nice install. I'm planning on something similar with a new 8" sub....any suggestions/words of advice as I move forward? I will be mounting the amps somewhere else. Thanks.

Very nice install. I too am now planning my system. Can someone tell me the best way to wire up aftermarket amplifiers to my factory Nav? I believe I will hook up a Audio Control LC6i.

First question, do I need to keep the factory JBL amp hooked up? I am concerned that if take out the amp all together the voice from my Nav won't work.

Ideas?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, your question might get buried in this thread.... have you tried searching previous posts? There has been dozens of posts in the past about aftermarket amps hooked up to a factory HU.

What are the dimensions of the amp that you put in there. I have an Alpine amp that appears to be of similar size. Did you have to move any parts to get that to fit?

This site is great and very informative. Im not mechanically inclinded enought to pull off anything like youve done but I really want some crisp base that I can feel. HOW can I wire an amp to a 10" sub to factory JBL 10 speaker system? Also, what speakers do you recommend to replace all 10 JBL stock speakers. I love Infiniti but will they work given the JBL are 2 ohm (i think). Thanks

Even the entry level Focal components will sound much better than anything infinity in MY OPINION.

I have components running off an Eclipse head unit now and am excited every time I get into my 4R.

So without the stereo on and when driving on the freeway, can you tell much of a difference with all the Dynomat, foam and other insulation you added? If the truck noticeable quieter?

Any updates on this? Ive always liked the carputer idea and am really looking forward to seeing one in a 4runner application.

Let us know any other details you can and as they say pictures are worth a thousand words.
