Compliments from others.

stuck at home with the flu kickin' my butt for the last few days I finally get enough strength to shop for jello Sobe etc.- and the market guy is helping me out when he sees the Beast. "That is a very nice lookin' Toyota" he says looks it over and says "yes yes yes that is a very pretty vehicle"....made me feel great.

Very cool (about the compliment, not the flu ). I have only gotten comments from friends, family and coworkers so far, but then again, I have only had mine a little over a week.

Some of the compliments I've gotten on my Sport Edition are:

- "damn, I've never seen one this shiny" - service tech at Toyota Berkeley

- "that's one nice piece of machinery you're driving there" - my ops manager at work

- "that thing is sooo nice, how the hell the do you keep it shiny all the time?" - female coworker

- "wow, that color is nice, it suits your personality..." - ?!? another coworker

- "man that color is badass" - female friend/coworker

- "that thing is sweet" - buddy from socal

- "I love that thing on the hood" - my cousin obviously referring to the scoop

- "can I have your car?" - another female coworker

I sh*t you not, those are some of the compliments I've gotten so far since I picked the SE back in Feb '07. Even more so now since the titanium SR5. I think chicks dig Shadow Mica and the scoop.

Oh and Alaskaman, you're sooo hot...

Two of my female co-workers actually drive 3rd gen 4Runners so I guess they are biased a bit. My friend drives her silver 2000 Limited to work every day. And a former co-worker use to drive her white '99 SR5 to work everyday too. Our other coworker use to drive a runner until it got T-boned a while back; he now drives a Scion Tc. My boss also has a jade mica 2001 4Runner Limited so if you look at our employee garage you see like 3 4Runners parked all the time.

I get them often about how shiny and clean it is... ive had people randomly pull up to me in a parking lot to comment! I love it.. it makes me proud to notice all the washing and waxing doesnt go unnoticed... the sad part is that they probably dont know it is 8 years old and still looks that good

Mine isnt a good color, so it doesnt get much attention, but I remember the DAY after i installed my lift and wheel spacers, I was at the first stop light by my house, and a guy tells me to roll down my window and starts asking me questions about it and saying how good it looks...it was pretty nice lol

I dont know ANYONE else who drives a 4runner!!!
