Hello. I have a 2008 V6 with a bad head gasket on cylinders #4 and #6. it has 295k miles and was purchased used with 205k. Aside from loosing coolant, the truck runs fine.
I am seriously considering replacing the head gaskets but was wondering if I should do a leak down or compression test prior to that. Not sure if the test would still be valid considering the bad head gasket.
Should that be something that I do to confirm the health of the motor or do I just proceed as is since the truck has been running fine?
