hi all i know how to compression test a petrol engine ,do them regularly.
how do i test my diesel engine as it has no spark plugs to screw tester in.
is a different tester completely used ?
The same as a gas engine except you remove the injectors instead of the spark plugs. You will need a diesel compression gauge and adapter for your particular engine. The diesel tester goes to well over 300PSI.
Yes it's not the quite the same when it comes to diesel,Hyde is correct you need a diesel compression gauge and you need to pull out the injectors or glow plugs.:iagree:
