Conceal Handgun...What do you carry?

Smith and Wesson M&P 45 Compact for everday carry in the rig. Colt Officers when I need to slim it down. Keltec PT9 when I need to go skinny. Rossi 38 when I need to go fishing and have various loads, snakes and Snakelike Villians. Walther P22 or Ruger 22/45 on long trips when I need to carry alot of ammo. Mossberg Mariner 12 Ga Nickel finish just for a little insurance with #6 shot, 00 Buck, and Slugs.
 
Since I live in Southern California, concealed carry isn't an option. However, should I move to a more self-defense friendly state, I have several options. Most of them are full-size guns though. I guess concealing a Raging Bull is out of the question, huh? :D

My first choice would be my .45 Kimber Ultra CDP II.

Oh, and on road trips, my companions are a S&W Mountain Gun in .44, with a matched 16.5" Marlin.

I don't have a concealed carry permit, nor do I personally own a gun, which is odd as I've been a pretty decent competitive rifle shooter in the past. My other half has one, but he's law enforcement so I, of course, cannot use that.

I'm a big fan of the Magnum - it's tough to be a bad shot with one of those. Hard to conceal it though I would imagine :)

Tried the Sig 229 the other day - also not a fan, though my other half likes his. Disliked the 1911 too, though that might have been because it had a bad laser sight on it.

If I were to buy a gun it would most likely be a shotgun for skeet shooting purposes - and I'd probably get a Benelli.
 
I carrry a GLock 22 on my hip, a GLock 27 on my ankle, and a Colt AR3 in the back of my vehicle. I can carry in any state, anywhere, anytime, ......, concealed or open. What a deal, huh?
 
i'm thinking about getting a pistol for personal defense/concealed carry and was wondering what you guys thought about the glock 23 .40sw. I want to spend around $600 and not sure what other brands would be a good choice. My cop friend has the G23 and I like the look and feel so any other pistols that are similar in size and price would be game.

I am fully for concealed gun permits and whatnot, but why the hell do you carry it with you all the time, unless you are handling mass amounts of cash or in a bad part of town, the gun could wait in the car, The obvious answer is "because i can" but you dont want to become too comfortable with the gun nad eventually forgeting its there.

Well i wonder why...I'm pretty sure for the rest of us, Utah Virginia and Florida Out of State gun permits cover most of the country, NYC and Westchester County are a ***** to get unless you carry $5k in cash a day or a cop.

Trouble can be anywhere anytime. I rather have it and not need it than the other way around. That is the whole point...you want to be comfortable with carrying a weapon...but trust me, it is hard for me to forget that its there on my hip.

Basically the same as the one in post #127, but mine is all black.

Why do I carry a .45? Because they don't make a .46!!!
 
Springfield Armory XD-9 Subcompact. If I am compensating for something with a 9mm 3" barrel, then I am in a word of hurt.
