considerations from 15'' to 16'' wheels/tires

Hey guys I got a 01 SR5 with relatively new goodyear wrangler 31s on the 15" dual 3 spoke SR5 wheels that I hate, but I want to put on the 16" T100 5spokes. Not really doing any offroading at all, may put in a leveling kit if anything but curious as to what I should get for a tire that will be similar so the gearing doesnt get too jacked up...again not seriously using this for crawling or anything crazy, just like the look with the 5spokes and no running boards/fender flares......the actual tire size is 31x10 50R15LT...anything need to be done with brakes? stock discs in front and drums in back..thanks guys

Off the top of my head, a 245/75r16 is going to be a 30.5, and 265/75r16 will be a 31.5. Neither of those will offset your speedo/odo by very much at all. You won't need to do anything with brakes.

Thanks bud. Yeah i was trying to find that converter I saw it somewhere couldnt find it....
Now that I think of it, these tires are obv. not the original tires so the speedo might be jacked up already since the stock tires are a little smaller...am i right?
Guess going to the 5spoke 16s wont be much as long as i stick to those dimentions above u mentioned

Sticker on the driver's door jam should have the stock tire size.

That sticker on the door jamb isn't necessarily what it came with. It says what the tire pressure would be with xx tire size.

Mine had 16s brand new yet the door jamb sticker has a 15" tire size.

I also heard that those stickers arent always accurate...in any event I dont remember off the top of my head so I will check on that...if they are in fact bigger than stock which Im sure they are, my speedo will be off by only a few MPH i imagine...not worth it to change the gearing right?

right now she is getting all new fluids flushed including diffs and trans case and fuel system flush..cant wait!

265/70R16 is the 16" wheel equivalent of a 31x10.5R15.
