Is my research of previous post correct that the Console vault you have access to the power port and with the Lock'er Down you do not?

its my understanding they both have access, I can confirm that console vault does, I cannot confirm the other

Based on this thread I did some searching and found the vault sold by Toyota (manufactured by EG Classics) for $220 shipped on the Bay. Toyota part number 00016-86184.

Fits nicely, access to power port, 3 digit combo and also a key. Not sure how it stacks up compared to others, but it seems very hefty and will work for my needs. It does not have a spring-loaded door, but the door has enough friction in the hinges to remain at any angle so it won't drop on you.

according to both of their sites, they both use 12 gauge. I have a console vault and love it. I had an issue with the lock and they sent me another no questions asked, not even an order number

I'm looking for advice in regards to the safe that came with my 19 TRD ORP (E&G Classics Console Safe). The salesman unfortunately didnt know a lot about it and I figured I could read the instructions and figure it out. Well, I cant. I've tried used the key, resetting the combo ect and can't figure out how to get this open and shockingly theres zero videos on YouTube. Hoping someone here can help.

Probably wouldn't take much more than an hour to run through all the combinations.

The glove box will take all of 30 seconds to pry open.

If you are store something valuable or a fire arm, having it in a truly locked and secure place is important.

Personally I would never leave a firearm or valuable in the glove box. Its the first place someone will look.

I don't have a console vault, but from the pictures I'm seeing, a screwdriver and 30 seconds look like it'd be all it'd take to get into one of them too. They don't look much more sturdy than one of those metal "money boxes".

I just bought one of these and haven’t installed it yet. Do I think it can be pried open, yes. I do think it would take some work to get it done, yes. I think it would definitely take more time than someone who’s looking for a quick score would want to spend breaking into a car in a parking lot etc.

In researching, some guy had the console vault and said the lock was broken due to the bolt holding the latch was made by Chinese steel.. not sure on this. I hope the Lock er Down, since USA made has USA forged steel as well.. it's on my wish list.
