In attempt to avoid the clear and present pun's at-work here, with more racks coming on the market it'd be nice to consolidate each rack's details into one location. This could also be a source for comparative discussions between the pros/cons of each rack, manufacturer customer service experiences, etc. I'll try to post each of the dedicated rack threads as well so we don't duplicate information.

There is no doubt that Drabbit should be listed as "Buyer Beware!" Not only was I a customer, I have a rack that is not as I ordered and no recourse to resolve.

Or even a "common pro's/con's" line.

People ordering Gobi should know there's often a 12+ week lead time. They should also know that if they ask Gobi what the lead time is, they should expect 2-3x that number. Could also include getting responses/information from them occasionally sucks as well. As a pro you could add it's probably the highest quality rack.

There are other racks with similar issues.

Lead time on the Front Runner is NIL. Basically shipped the next day and arriving within a week or so. Almost instant gratification.

Prinsu says 6-8 weeks of lead time but really it's more like 10-12 weeks.

Thanks again for the input. I updated the list to include ARB, LabRack, Rhino Racks, and Warrior. There is still missing information that I could not pull from their websites, if anyone can help fill this in feel free to post a comment and I'll update it, otherwise I'll work to contact manufacturers directly for information. I'm holding off on Drabbits until I figure out how to handle the customer feedback rating.

What a great idea for a Gen 5 thread. I've got 10 days on my 2016 T4R SR5 Premium. I'm disappointed with the short rack. I'm now brainstorming on possible ways to mount a tandem bicycle and long kayaks. I'll be getting the pop corn out. opcorn:

I've been reading through the options on this thread, and I'm close to figuring this out.

My needs (wants??) for a rack aren't very extreme. I'll be doing some basic camping, not major overlanding runs, and I won't be doing a RTT but would like to do an awning. So I think I want a 3/4 length basket style. Seem reasonable?

Also, will a 3/4 rack hold the ARB 2000 awning ok?
