That's a good idea -- thanks for the suggestion.teotwaki said:FIRST: Thanks Kmvreter for the great write-up! I love this mod.
My only minor addition to the thread is that I took the original relay, wrapped it in a small baggy and zip-locked it to the new jumper. I'll always know where to look for it if I should ever need it.
trd_style said:Not sure if anyone asked this but does this mod also similar to the 3rd gen.? the fuse box looks different from mine so i believe it's a 4th gen T4R. thanks for the great write-up though.

iFORCE said:yes.. and depends on what you have on all the time. Charging a phone vs. keeping a laptop running.
Having the on/off switch will prevent unneccessary charging of toys.

Also, note that the compass/automatic rearview mirror stays powered all the time after the operation.

The statement is true. However , I found another wire that is only on when the truck is on. I'll pull open my kick plate and figure out which wire it is. Ill also take some pics too.00328 said:I'm getting ready to do this mod, but this statement has me a little concerned. Those that have performed this mod, is this really true. I don't think I really want this to be "on" all the time.

Does it bother/concern you or anyone that has done this mod that you have a constant power draw to the compass mirror?
Doesn't seem to me to be a very desireable situation. Granted, it's probably a very slight power draw, but still.
