Hi,

I'm new in this forum.
I have an Toyota 4runner 1997 Limited.

3.4L V6 Gasoline.
The car consume a lot these last month.
What can I check or replace or renew to make it the engine work perfectly or maybe make it less consummations?

Thank you

The best way to get good gas mileage is a tune-up, and make sure the tires are properly inflated. A typical tune-up would be new spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, and air filter. A lot of newer engines don't have distributors and wires, so it's even simpler (and cheaper). Changing the oil is a good idea also.

If your 4runner is consummating you have one unique 4Runner. I"m pretty sure you mean consuming...LOL

The best way to get better mileage on a 4runner is to park it in your driveway and leave it there.

He's got a 3rd gen, no cap and rotor but agree on all the rest for sure.
