Converting SR5 Brakes to Sport Brakes

It'd depend on who actually manufactured those discs. If its a company thats not known for brakes, I'd be weary...

I thought the brake lines were metal, but they have to go to rubber when they attach to the actually calipers to allow for flex in the suspension.

The OEM brake lines are hard rubber, flexibility is needed because the brake calipers are attached to the wheels/suspension. This is the line attached from the frame/inner fender to the caliper. Because of the heat and pressure exerted on the OEM rubber lines they tend to expand and thus reduce the actual pressure to the pads/rotors. The steel-braided lined will have less expansion and therefore provide more pressure to the pads/rotors.

As far as the pads, from what I've read from the people who used any of these pads I would stay with the OEM pads. They are probably ceramic pads anyway. I had used TRD high performance pads on my Taco and had to take them off because they needed to heat up before they were 100% and they made allot of noise. Try the brake lines first, and then you
