What's the prevailing opinion on radiator hoses? Is there a quality aftermarket option or does it make the most sense to stick with OEM? I'm not interested in silicone hoses.
On my 4runner I did first at 60,000.
On my prior Hondas I did 5 years/60k whichever came first.
Considering possible headgasket problems, why take chances.
Sure 100,000 is claimed-same for tranny ATF.
But who pays if problems arise?
I drain the radiator and refill. I do not mess with draining heater and block. So I do it early.
There are test kits where you put a test-strip in the coolant then compare its color to a chart on the package, if you want to go maximum interval.
Since old (maybe acidic) coolant can affect critical internal components, gaskets and seals-why gamble. Coolant is cheap.
Do replace radiator cap and thermostat at least every other coolant drain & refill.
