Cooper Zeon ltz LT285/70/17 tire pics

I replaced my Nitto Terra Grapplers with these Cooper Zeon ltz.......Terras are going on my dodge cummins. Took me about 3 hours to dismount and remount in my shop with basic tire tools used on truck tires and a homemade bead breaker. The Coopers have a more aggressive and deeper tread and CAN BE BALANCED without 6 pounds of lead weight!!! Sorry Nitto fans.......I wont be buying anymore Nittos. :hiding: PS I know that most of you dont like chrome wheels but I DO!

The Coopers look and ride so much better than the D rated Nittos. The problem that I had with the Nittos is that they were difficult for the tire guy to balance them....took a lot of weights. The steering wheel would shutter at about 55 mph. These new tires are definately a smoother ride.

It must be nice having tools to swap tires. What do you use to set the bead, the jiggle method or a compression strap?

They aired right up even with the valve cores in! Actually the only tools I used was the homemade bead breaker, two tire spoons and some soapy water. Starting fluid works well for truck tires if you can't get them to take air......you need a locking air chuck and a ball valve on your air supply. :flamethrwoer2:.

I like those rims. They still have the trucky look even in chrome.
