Corner lights '91

Hey guys

This may sounds like a dumb question. What do the corner lights do up front?

My driver side was loose, I was lazy, carwash took it off. I need to figure out a way to out it back on, the little rubber mounts are gone, but I plugged it back in and something is shorted.

What does this light do?

They're called marker lamps, or parking lamps. They're so other cars can see you from the side at night.
