Cornfed 3/2 Coming off, Please post pics of Front Leveling Lift Only

I currently run a Cornfed 3/2 with 265/70R17s.
I have had small annoyances with it since I installed it.
First, lack of alignment correction without $400+ UCA's.
Second, the need for Spidertrax spacers to look good that have introduced steering shimmy, regardless of road force balancing, over and over on different machines. Also tried rotations, and nothing solves it.

So I'm considering removing my rear lift completely, and removing one of the 3/4" thickness spacers from the front. This will produce 1.5" of front lift, hopefully allow for a better alignment, and not require Spidertrax spacers to make it look decent.

If you have any input, please throw it my way. Also, please post pictures of a front lift ONLY. I want to see what different front spacer lifts look like when run with a stock rear.

I can tell you this.....you don't want 3/4" spacers up front if you're on the stock rear suspension. Your 4Runner will look nose high with 1.5" of lift up front and none in the rear. If I were you, I'd go with 1/2" spacers to give you 1" of lift up front. Or at the very most, 5/8" spacers that will give you 1.25" of front lift.

I tried the 3/4" spacers first and it just didn't look right. I ended up with the 1/2" spacers instead and it looked much better to me.

I think having only the front lifted 1.5" is you're in the border line of being nose high.You might want to try it.

The 5/8" thick spacer w/c will give you 1.25" is enough to correct the rake.

I have 1.25" lift in front. Though my front setup are not spacers, I measured it 1.25" higher than its stock height(before), while the rear is the same.

See link in my sig for my lift and pics. 1.5 inches perfectly leveled mine, but I think my rear end sits higher since I have the rear air suspension. In this case you already have the lift on. It won't take any extra effort to take the rear off and see how you like it. If you don't, just remove the front and put in something smaller. Several have done the 1/2 inch Toytec spacer with FJ springs (front and rear) and it turned out very nice and level.

My rear has airbags installed for load leveling. With just a few lbs of air the rear lifts. I'd say 1/4-1/2" with under 10lbs of air. I think this is enough to correct for what you say is a nose high situation with the 3/4" front spacer.

Your setup looks good. I think yours will be a very similar situation to mine as I have aftermarket load carrying airbags.

imo, you'll be fine with a 1 & 1/2 front only lift, it should make the running boards level, at least on 06 & up. heres mine with a 2 in. front & rear air bags filled.

Are your wheel spacers hub centric or lug centric? If your main complaint is the shimmy then look at that, i've heard from other members that the hub centric spacers can cause this shimmy, since our vehicles need lug centric spacers......just my 0.02 and just a thought. Good luck,

Funny, cause the 4runner is supposedly hub centric. Where are you getting this information?

I read on the forum here that someone else was having the same problems as you and it was because they had the wrong spacers. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they are lug centric. Regardless though they had the wrong ones and that was causing the shimmy issues.

They are supposed to be hub centric I got it switched around. I'll try to find that thread for you when I get home tonight since im using my phone rt now.

I couldnt find the thread i was talking about.... That is strange about the shimmmy though. Maybe someone else will chime in that has experienced the same issue. I have a daystar 2.5/1.5 on mine with 265/70 tires and no spacers yet and it drives stock for the most part.

Sorry I don't have any better pictures, but I'm running the Bilstein 5100s on the 2.5" lift notch and no lift in rear. It's nose high, but when measuring the differences, it's only a ~1/2" difference between front and rear.

I like the way the tire in the rear seems to "fit" into the wheel well. It fills it nicely. I think maybe the front on the 1.75" ring instead of the 2.5" would bring a tiny bit of rake back into it, as well as make the front tire fill the wheel well more. Looks great, thanks for the pic! I've found the set of 4 Bilstein 5100s for $332 shipped, so maybe I'll pull the trigger.
