IMHO, you're using the best. Mu '98 'Runner got only 5w-30 Mobil 1, and literally ran like new when I traded it in at 75K miles. The only reason to switch to dino oil would be to save a few bucks at each oil change

I use Amsoil exclusively, but Mobil 1 is just as good!

5 W 30 is the recommended oil for your engine. I use Mobil 1 also, and have been very please with the oil. It takes it a lot longer for it to turn color as opposed to regular oil. Amsoil is very good, the reason I went with Mobil 1 is cost and the availability of it. I have notice the specs of the Mobil 1 over the years has been degraded a bit. One example is the pour point for Mobl 1, it has changed a few degrees over the years.

I cant wait until I get to put in M1! I dropped the factory fill @ 1500, put in GTX and will run it for 1500 more, than once more with GTX for 2000. Then its Mobil 1!
Yes I like wasting money and changing oil. I figure Id ought to have most of the break-in metals swept out by the time I switch.
So yes, stick with M1 as it has been working well for you. Do you plan to do any UOA's?

the reason i post that question, on take off my 2000 4runner feels like fulling another 4runner. any suggestion for extra power i do have the helix power tower but still and i notice that its kinda fast on gas. really need help.

The best/safest way to make real power is the TRD supercharger (for the 3.4 V6). I've had one on my PreRunner going on 9 years and it never skipped a beat.
