Correcting Driver Side Lean

I found this on Crawlpedia:
Important Note: Coilovers should not be used to fix body lean or sway. If the vehicle has excessive body roll during testing, you will either need to add a sway bar or adjust your suspension geometry and coilover positions (or both).

It seems that spacers would be the recommended way to fix the lean, but I don't see how an additional 1/4" of preload would cause problems. If the lean is more than 1/2" I would say spacers are the safer bet.
 
I can’t see the spacer being an issue what I’m trying to figure out is, should I put toytec spacer in front and ome spacer in rear to lift the drivers side 1/2” or just install the ome spacer in the rear only and forget about going back in to the front. Would this change the angle on the passenger side. By that I mean pushing it down to even out the lean using just rear ome spacer .???
 
Btw, I believe the quote above "coilovers should not be used to fix body lean" is referring to the body leaning when turning corners, that's why they recommend sway bars. This is different than a sitting 4runner leaning to one side. Preload is meant to adjust for weight differences. For example the coilovers on the rear of my utv are to allow you to level the rear based on how much you are carrying in the bed. Just my 2 cents.
 
I had a 1/2" driver's side lean. I adjusted the icons up on the driver's side (2 turns of the adjustment collar) and down on the passenger side 1 turn. Sits level now.

I’m also wondering if the OME 10mm is all I need or if I should also do the 1/4” front toytec spacer. Found your thread during my search. Did you ever receive an answer or did you end up trying it out?

I run both trim packer 10mm in rear and 1/4" toytec spacer in front. Rig sits within 1/4" from perfect
 
Bumping this up to share my experience with fixing the lean.

With the Dobinsons 15mm spacer, I still had 1" lean and everywhere else was about even. Tried the Daystar 1.5" today thinking that would solve the problem (math adds up anyway) but it was still missing .5". So I decided to try both AT THE SAME TIME, which worked perfectly since the Dobinsons fits INSIDE the Daystar and then on top of the isolator. The bottle jack trick was a must here to shove the extended length in the proper position, but lo and behold - it worked. I'm actually level. feelsweirdman.fgf

It's crazy to think that it took a tad over 2" to correct this...

I know this is slightly off topic, but being new to the forum I wasnt sure where else to post it. Seemed the closest I would get.

Driving my forerunner with Fox 2.5 coilovers up front and 2.0’s in the rear I have seen and experienced the lean. The main question is if we are correcting with preload height of the coilovers (rather than spacers) Is there a max difference between the driver and passenger coilover adjustment?

Another way to ask is if the driver side is set at 2 1/4” of thread visible and the passenger is set at 1 7/8” of thread visible, that would give us a 3/8 difference between each side. If I wanted to lower the passenger side, potentially making the difference 1/2” of thread, would this be detrimental in any way?
