Any chance one of you guys/gals could take a peek under your hood and tell me what colors the wires are that go to your parking lights are? Both left and right if they are not the same please. Also, if you could take a look at the colors of the turn signal wires are that would be great too! Thanks a bunch!

Previous owner happened. He was more of a wrencher than an electrician lol. The kit's already installed, and I'm leaving it there, but the parking lights have been re-wired to be the turn signals, and I currently don't even have front park lights. This is because when the tube bumper went on, I can only imagine he didn't feel like working out a new place for the turn signals, so he just did that instead. My mission is to fix it so that I have both sets of lights, although, I don't know where I'm going to put the turn signals...or how....or in what housing... but I'll get it worked out. I'm thinking I someone might be able to help me figure out a way to get a dual use bulb to work in the parking light spot, but I have to get the wiring figured out before I go trying to do all that.
Do the turn signals look good in that spot? That would be an interesting mod....I don't really care for the turn signals being so low like they are on the '03 - '05 models, so raising them up to the headlight lens sounds interesting.
Not sure if you are willing to spend the money to do this, but why not swap out your headlights for the 06-09 ones. Then you will have a space for your turn signals and parking lights in the headlight assembly. Not sure what you will do about the fog lights. I have an 05, but I actually prefer the setup of the 06-09 lights with only the fog in the bumper.
Another option is to drill a hole and install a parking light in the high beam section of the housing and use a clear bulb to keep it looking clean and uniform and keep the turn signal where the park light should actually be. You will have a setup similar to the Lexus RX350. In fact you might not have to do any drilling since there are light kits called "city light kits" that you can buy to do this. I saw this on some website before a long while ago can't remember and I believe it clips on to the existing high or low beam and bingo you have a park light in a new location which looks clean like it was factory installed. Once you figure where all the wires are they way it was before he made the modification then you decide which option works best for you. Good luck.

Yes they do. I also prefer it up high like on my '06, but my issue is it's still the parking light bulb in there, which is not nearly bright enough in the day, and at night the HID's pretty much make them invisible as well. So I'll definitely have to go with a brighter bulb, maybe something LED.
I was thinking about doing the '06+ headlights but they're so darn expensive. And I'd have to work out a new grille i think. But I think that's what I really want to do, since I really like it on the '06. The other thing is that those black headlights are made by koito (they say koito and toyota on them), and I really like them. Maybe I'll try to sell them. I didn't even think of the city lights kit, that would probably work out really well. The fog lights are not a problem, they are wired to the yellow toyota ones on the bumper. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll more than likely do the city light thing. At least until I can afford the projector housings.

They are from Japan along with the yellow koito/toyota fogs and I know what you mean about looking them up. Their only website sucks. The guy who used to supply these things just left Japan for good to come back state side. Eventually I'll have to work out a contact over there to get some more of the round lights (like the yellow ones) for the eventual safari rack. You want the black ones? I'll trade you for some '06+ housings (or cash equivalent). I'll even throw in the HID kit
