Well the last couple days I've been driving the truck to work and I've had a couple little issues that have me stumped. First off it's a 86 22RE Auto. My first issue is I went to work yesterday and I stopped to pick up my help and when we pulled out if his driveway the truck started stumbling like it was running out of gas. According to the gauge there was 3/8 of a tank left but who knows if it's right. I drove it probably a mile while every 10 seconds or so it would stumble. I got to a gas station and filled it up. It only took 9 gallons so I thought maybe it's a fuel pickup issue because I had no more problems all day. But today I took the truck up town and it did the same thing. I was close to a station so I stopped and topped it off again. It only took 5 gallons this time and It drove home fine. One thing I find in common is it happened after letting it idle for a few minutes, the first at my helps house and second at the drive thru and the bank but not sure if that's coincidencal. Any ideas?
Also when I got the truck the gas gauge and water temp gauge weren't working but the rest of the cluster works fine. Then out of the blue I noticed they were both working. Did fine for a couple days now today just those 2 gauges quit again. Anyone know what those 2 gauges have in common. Seems like the problem links those 2 gauges together.
Thanks in advance for any help.
