Couple of Entune Questions

I am getting ready to update my phone through AT&T but have been seeing conflicting reports about the compatibility between Entune and Android's KitKat 4.4 operating system. Does anyone here have this cell phone OS paired with their 5th gen T4R?

Also, I have an SR5, so I guess my audio system is the Entune Audio Plus (without the app suite). Does anyone know if Toyota issues the same style software updates as the other models with the app suite? I was just curious how things like Gracenote ever get updated. Thanks.

Can't speak specifically about gracenote but I would imagine it gets updated with entune updates through the dealership. If not there may be an SD card update you can utilize.

I'm still deployed but I have an android and entune suite. Entune was just recently updated to resolve a bunch of bugs.

If there are problems with the kitkat for android it most likely is not kitkat but the entune app through android. Kitkat and entune do not interact directly, there is no relationship between the two other than the entune application, otherwise there would have to be similar compatibility checks with iOS, and older versions of android. Once the entune app is installed on your phone and sync is completed then the connection should maintain. If there are any issues, it's between the current version of either the entune app or entune itself.

I wouldn't let entune stall your adroid update. Do you have specific articles or forums from androidcentral.com or anywhere else that reference this specifically so I can check it out?

Interesting and good to know. I'm surprised that the system update affected the entune so much. I wouldn't be surprised if google fixed it before toyota did.
