Couple of maintenance questions

Hey everyone, got a few questions:

So I have a leak on my transmission. My fluid isn't low, but it's slowly declining. Im going to do a flush since I have to add fluid anyways, and i have 108k miles. But my first question is, what seal is on this? (see picture) so I know what to order and replace. I searching around and I never found an answer.

Second question is about my tie rods. I have to replace them, and I was wondering if anyone had an opinion of the NAPA ones compared to the OEM. It's not too much of a difference price wise, is there in quality?

And lastly, When I was looking under my car for the source of the leak, I noticed the 3rd picture looked grimy. What is this? If your looking towards the hood of the car, its above the drivers side wheel well, just at the bottom of the engine bay.

1) O-rings more than likely.
2) napa has quality parts and cheaper but most opt for OE. that looks like a ball joint. replace them asap.
3) that looks like valve cover gaskets that are leaking. take care of that as well.

Would it be the O-rings on that plug? If so, any chance you know what thats called? I'm searching through and I think I found a thread where he did it, just never mentioned what part # or what is was called.

Thanks, I noticed my error. I'm doing the three on both sides for good measure. Ball joints, tie rods - inner and outer. After reading up on it, I think i'm going to use the Tacoma ones, as they're beefier. Think they're okay to drive on till Saturday? Thats when NAPA is going to get them in.

Damn. That's a little more tech involved then i'm able to do.


And Bellview, near Ocala. It's always nice to see someone else in FL. There aren't many of T4R's here.

there should be O-rings behind those switches. just take that pic to toyota and ask them about it. maybe you can get just the seal and not the complete part.

You're in Orlando right? I remember you had the BS issue with the milage of your vehicle, dealing with a dealer in Ocala.
