Crank pulley removal help

I sandblasted and painted the ballancer on the 96 when I did the timing belt. Two years later it was rusting already. I had to tap the two threaded holes to run the bolts in for the puller. Rust was bad. But cleaning the threads worked with my puller. Using the two hole option.

Decaf coffee would have been a life saver.

Removing the AC compressor to remove the hydraulic belt tensioner resulted in one of the 4 bolts holding the compressor to the mount on the engine snapping. I swear I was the first person to touch any bolt or nut on the engine since the manufacturing date.

I'm from NJ and both my runners were from NJ. My first one was pretty rusty so I totally understand.

What exactly were you doing to the truck in that picture? Was it after an accident?

It's ok, and yes it was T-boned two years ago. It's sat around till I found a 4Runner in need of a engine and trans. The sawzaw got some things out of the way. I ran the engine on occasion

Tomorrow my brother comes out to help pull engine and trans.

Ratchet Strap

I used a heavy duty ratchet strap to remove the harmonic Balancer. I connected each end to the frame and wrapped around the harmonic Balancer three times and tightened. It hold it tight.
