Why haven't you published any of the data?
Because to see the improvement in fuel economy you have to drive it harder...duh!
They were unable to even dyno a 5th gen 4Runner (attempt was made), but the data is ‘theoretical’ just like global warming

I have too much time on my hands...
Tank 4 with no ecoblock - stock.
317.2 / 18.769 = 16.9 mpg
This tank was 40% city and 60% highway.
Drive Time = 11:05
Conclusion: Not even close to the number of datapoints to declare that EcoBlock makes no big difference/makes a big difference/etc.
1MPG would be a huge deal. Toyota would spend tens of millions of dollars to get 1mpg improvement. And that's why it's easy to reach the obvious conclusion that this product doesn't work. Toyota has unlimited access to the ECU and can tune it any way it wants. If it were possible to increase MPG while not violating emissions rules or degrading engine life - Toyota would be doing it. Obviously such a small data set is problematic as far as reaching a conclusion - I'll do a regression analysis when I have a minute ( to see how much is predicted by driving time, I don't think subjective city/highway has any value) and calculate the minimum sample size to identify a 0.1mpg difference. I'm guessing it's in the hundreds of tanks if not thousands.
The tragedy is that someone will consider this a validation of the claims - and anyone with a shred of mathematical skills would know that this is not that. Nor would the reverse have shown that it doesn't work. It's simply not enough evidence to reach any conclusion.
My personal take on it Jetboy is that driving time (to an extent) has everything to do with MPG and not the % city/highway. This was really just for me to see what the ecoblock would do for my particular situation.
I don't think that the MPG is a significant increase, but I will be putting it back on because for me it's about 1 gallon per tank better.
I agree that having a 5 hour trip on the interstate would be interesting to see, just wasn't in the cards for this short test.
Your particular vehicle and driving style have shown closer to a 5% increase in fuel mileage
Again, thanks!

... What we promote / see is a 7% average increase in fuel mileage and a 5% average increase in power and torque.

Hey, that’s great!
We’ve all been struggling trying to prove to ourselves with our simple MPG tests that the EcoBlock really works.
I’m sure you’re manufacturer’s test suite is much more thorough than any user testimonials and will provide all the proof we need.
Please provide us with your test result documentation so we can be convinced. With those proven results I’m sure you’ll get lots of customers!
