Crazydubman's 97 limited runner build

good luck finding a set of those Kosei K1's.
The were custom made for the previous owner of them.

They were originally blanks and he had them drilled for a vw.
15x8" ET32. 13.5 lbs ;):

Had that awesome BMW sunk in spokes too. I will see if I can find some more pictures when I get home.

Tires would be fine with aftermarket upper arms. Probably gain a 1/2" of clearance with some TC or Camburg arms. The catch is that im trying not to spend any more than needed on the IFS seeing as its all going to be cut out in a year. The tires only rub at full droop and there is no visible damage or scuffs on the inner sidewall of the tires so I really am not worried about it. Like I said, all the rubbing im getting, aside from the firewall on full lock stuffed (Found that out at the quarry in Hollister), is barely noticable and doesn't affect the capability of the runner.

It honestly wheels really well for pretty much a stock 3rd gen suspension wise.
 
Rigs looking better and better Todd. Sorry to read the coils wouldn't work. Like I said worst case is they don't but it don't hurt to try while you're in there.
 
No worries there Shane,

I had to pull the coils so I could get the shock mounting holes drilled.

The spacers and stock rear coils puts the height perfect so not too worried. Now with the end links and longer shocks, I should be able to about max out those springs on droop now. Should help in those rutted out situations till I get the e-locker figured out.

Hey man, do you have a write up on how you did those awesome led turn signals? Looks awesome! I have my addicted bumper coming in some point this week.

Hey there,

I ordered them through my work. They are Maxxima MO9300Y LED's.
Maxxima LED Lighting and Accessories

Took a while as I ordered them with a stock order.
My works cost was about $4.50 a piece. I got the idea from Dirtco's 4runner. I think he got them from another vendor but can't remember who. I think he paid about $10-11 and piece from what I remember reading.

All I did was evenly space 3/4" holes along that lower trim piece and make the cuts. Just used a 3/4" hole saw and went to town. The lights come fully resin sealed with pigtails off the back to tap into the existing plug wire.

I still need to get a resistor as it blinks about double the speed it is suppose to. Need to do the calculations of the current draw on factory vs current.

That would be pretty cool.

So when you want the Racelines ARKRWLR ;):

Need to get the adapters then I will be ready to rock hopefully.

like the bumpers a lot...makes me want to keep my 4runner :rant:

it's legal as long you have blinkers on them?
 
That is correct. A cop will not pull you over for a bumper. Only thing they would say is that possibly you will need mud flaps. (Been there, done that with my 06)

IF you ever got in a accident, and the front bumper just happened to launch you over a car instead of into the back of it, there could be some reprocussions there but that is highly unlikely and almost never heard of.
