Creeper for big guys?

I'm no little guy, 6 foot--300lbs and not real fond of dragging my fat butt around the cold (or hot) ground. However it seems like most creepers are just too flimsy for me.

Any other big guys out there who can recommend a good brand of creeper for big noob like me?

There is only one I would consider, it's made and re branded for a few companies. I have the Matco version because I found it used for cheap. The Lisle Jeepers Creeper. Low profile and rock solid. The frame is plenty large enough for 6'ers like us. Smooth as silk wheels. Reasonably priced too

Don't make the mistake I did a few years back and get one that's not low clearance. It wasn't long before I was looking around for a replacement. An inch or two makes a world of difference.

This is what i use, huge wheels dont get hung up on pebbles or extension cords and the wheel humps make for a nice place to rest your head when wrenching. 400lb capacity, lifetime warranty and 100% American made.

I like it, plus the headrest would be nice. And sadly, I'm big enough that I could use all the extra clearance I can get. :biggrin2:

I have a Jeepers also. Good quality, reasonably priced as stated earlier. It's getting a little creaky after 20 years of abuse holding my fat ass(6'1" 290). Most of the time I just use a thick piece of cardboard.

Big guy checking in - I've never found a creeper, even a low clearance style, that didn't eat too much space between me and the truck. I throw down cardboard if it's super cold, otherwise I just roll around on the cement.

I want a lift.

Before retiring, I worked as an industrial maintenance mechanic and purchased a Snap On creeper for sliding under the machines I serviced. It has good sized wheels and a steel frame that drops the creeper bed quite low. Dog gone expensive but works great and I am just a bit taller than you and about same weight.

The metal frame ones hold weight better, all the plastic bodied ones I've been on seem to bottom out even with me at 190lbs, but I personally prefer to drag myself around on the concrete, maybe it's just cause I'm young and dumb.

I have had one for years. They are not cheep, but well made and the warranty alone is worth it. I had one of the wheels break on mine, I contacted them, and they sent a new wheel no questions asked.

The large wheels are easy to steer around, don't get hung up on small cracks or pebbles, and will work (within reason) on unpaved surfaces. I am 6", 280, and it supports me just fine.
