Cross Country Vehicle Transport

I've "inherited" a 1946 Ford Super 8 Sedan in the mountains of NC (Boone area), which was my grandfather's car. The car is not running. I need to get it to Oklahoma for restoration. Does anyone have a transport company they can recommend?

Do your research on the Co you choose,I was charged and told they would pick up and deliver in a week, took two months. make sure you document the shape the vehicle is in prior to pick up, and have it stated in the agreement whether the vehicle is operable, they will try to charge extra when they see its not operable.good luck

Find someone who specializes in classics and doesn't care if it's running or not. Many transports require it to be in running order.

I used Matson to ship a car to Hawaii and they handled the transport from CO to CA port. It was very easy, very accurate and dependable. I wish I kept the ground transport name for you but I didn't.

It's a message board for vehicles made before 1964. It's owned by the guy as Garage Journal. I see transporters on there a lot. Do not speak of a car made after 1964. They get mean.
