Going to Crown King, AZ tomorrow for the first time! Excited to get my 4Runner out since I've added my sliders.

I wonder if going to Crown King in the pouring rain a good idea... I've seen the photos of the road after it washed out this past winter and the damage it's done to other vehicles...

You should have seen the area surrounding the Tonto Natural Bridge in Payson today!

We actually made it up to Crown King via Senator Highway in our (mostly) stock 4Runner, in the rain for much of it, and it was great! I've only had it for 2 months and this was the worst abuse we've put it through so far, but it handled really well!

How was Payson?

On the Senator Highway!

I did the backway to crownking yesterday. defenitely not a stock run. I have 255/75/17's on and daystar 2.5/1.5 and there were a couple of parts that I bottomed out. There was a stock jk that made it to the last crossing called oro belle. He got stock and had to be helped past that part.

Where is Crown King located. Always looking for a new trail to run:driving:

It's about 75 miles north of Phoenix. Straight up the I-17 to the Bumble Bee exit. But that just gets you to Crown King. The back-roads are on the south/east side of it. Lots of options for all skill levels, but I recommend having another vehicle with you regardless.
