Current supplier of A-Pillar guage pods?

I contacted lotek and they don't have an a-pillar dual gauge pod for 2002 3rd gen... anyone know of anyone else that has an a-pillar dual pod?

Same here. I have a boost gauge (although no boost yet, just vacuum) sitting on top of my dash wedged against the windshield.

If you don't mind not having the gauges mounted on the A-Pillar, you can always mount them under the ashtray like I did. Here's a couple pics.



You can just see the wideband gauge peeking out in this pic, but it gives a general idea of the location.

62212-35040-E0

According to the interwebs it was the same part number from 1996 to 2002

BUT... just to make sure. I'm going to order one from LOTEK and see... will let you know how it goes.

...and it looks fine for my 2002.

I'm just holding it up here since I'm not ready to install. Note that the "center" screw, the one between the gauges, has no where to go. It just happens to fit right where the big hole is for your grab handle so you will have to add a backer of some type, glue it, or put a new screw somewhere. Maybe this is what lotek was worried about? not a big deal to me. Sure beats fab-ing up my own!

Also, my eyes are not what they used to be but I could swear the pillar on my 4runner is OAK and the door is gray? I must be seeing things. Anyway... I don't give a sh..t.

Having said all this... I take no responsibility for mismatches and I'm guessing lotek would expect you to pay return shipping as well if it didn't work out so.... buy at your own risk but it sure look fine to me.

I used a Lo-Tek A-pillar two gauge pod and it's worked out okay for me - the holes were slightly off of what my 4Runner had and so it required some custom holes. Not a big deal, I used a couple larger washers to cover the elliptical holes. At least this way I was able to get both bolts in the stock location (where the grab handle used to be).

There should be some pictures of it hiding on my computer some where...

Finally did my install

Worked fine. I opted for using the factory bolt holes in the 4Runner...

6mm x 25 bolt and washer... I'll put fill that leftover hole later... or not.
