For those of you who know well more than i do.... whats keeping the diy'er from making their own "performance air intake"? Let's just say that they can work with composits like fiberglass or carbon fiber. Is there any special engineering that people like K&N or Volant have done to make their better other than changing the filter and maybe using a larger one. I doubt i could make a hose but probably could find a way to use the stock one.
