custom fit base box for rear of car?

I have an 06 4runner sport which I outfitted with a Pioneer headunit all new infinity speakers and a 10 inch sub in a small box in the rear.

After living with this for about 6 months have come to realize i don't like the box always being in the way!

I am debating just ditching the whole thing and selling my amp but first wanted to check into cost of a customer fit box with 2 requirements.

1. would still allow me to use the double decker system
2. still be able to pull the draw shade over it.

Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Stealth Box

There is a manufactured box available from JL Audio. They run approx $500 including the Woofer. The JL "Stealth Box" is an awsome unit, fit and finnish are great, price is high.
I built my own along the same lines. I'm sure you can find the post by searching "Stealth Box'

I'm sure there are shops that can build a box for you but then you are back into the MONEY.

custom box being made

Well I shopped around a bit and found a great guy at a Tweeter store, he listened very closely to what I wanted to do and he is making a custom box for the rear of my 4runner.

The main things I wanted:

1. TO be able to pull the cover over the cargo area.

2. To be able to still use the double decker system.

3. and not block out my cigarette outlet in the rear or tailight access panel.

He is doing all of this, he is taking the space on the right side storage panel and building my 10" sub right into that spot. Can't wait to see it completed, I advised him that he should keep the mold for future sales, so not sure if he is doing that or not but will be sure to post the pics when I have it installed!

ps - I should note that i am not a big bass head, and don't need a ported box or anything huge, just enough to add decent base that the door speakers cannot handle.
